Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran (2018)
This John Abraham-starrer tells the story of the days leading up to the event that would put India on the nuclear power map. Parmanu is the tale of India’s very first nuclear test in 1998, which took place on a barren piece of land in Pokhran, a village in the state of Rajasthan. Their main antagonist in the movie is the American satellite surveillance system, which maps every move of the Indian defense organizations from space. Many of the thrill induced moments of the film involve the core team behind the test attempting to make themselves invisible to the eyes of the American satellites.
